Data Analytics Academic Path Peers are current Data Analytics students who are available to answer questions and chat with Pre-Data Analytics majors and occasionally high school students about life at Ohio State. DA APPs are willing to share their own experiences as a DA major. Ask a DA APP how they decided which specialization to pursue, why they chose a specific minor or double major, which student organizations they recommend getting involved with on campus, how they established a work/study/life balance, and how they started their internship search. Speaking with a DA APP can help you figure out your own individual academic path. Plus, it's a great way to meet other students in the DA major and make Ohio State feel like home! 

Requirements to become a DA APP

• Be accepted into the Data Analytics major (not a Pre-major) before the start of Autumn 2026.
• Be available to chat with students, participate in panel discussions, and attend virtual and in-person DA APP events during both Autumn 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.
• Be responsive to questions from students. (You will likely only receive a couple emails each month.)
• Be positive, open-minded, encouraging, and willing to engage with other Data Analytics students. Expected time commitment is no more than one hour per week.
• Maintain an OSU GPA of 2.8 or higher.
