Christopher Hans, co-director of the Data Analytics major, was selected as a 2022 American Statistical Association (ASA) Fellow. ASA Fellows are selected for their outstanding contributions to statistical science.

Dr. Hans was selected "for developing influential and computationally efficient Bayesian methods for high dimensional regression; for promoting statistics in data science education; for mentoring and advising students; and for service to the profession."
